I think your work is excellent. I particularly like the validation feature in the Numbers Game (Countdown).
I also love TPIM. Having moved to Egypt, teaching Sunday to Thursday, it raises an interesting conundrum for you (to adapt the timetable somehow)!
Keep up the outstanding work.
I have a register for sale on my website. Take a look.

Really liked the softwares. I am trying to make something on Pair them up and I am unable to as I dod not know how to go about with it. Please help

author:
Open the program and select File then New and Create Blank file for editing
Type in the name of the topic your are creating for the file. This file will be a picture file
of all the tiles. You will be given the option to open the file in MS paint or you can use
your favorite graphics editing software to open the file after it is created.
When you open it you will have two columns of tiles
Each row is a pair.
Simple add pictures and text to the tiles, save it then run it in the program.
Personally I normally expand the canvas of the picture so that I have room to manipulate
drawing objects before placing them within a tile.
Hope this helps

You can now see how I use MS Paint to create quick Pair Them Up files. Screen shot 6 on the Pair Them Up web page shows the steps I take.

Hi,
I've been using your wonderful TPIM for some years now. It would be very useful for me, when ordering equipment for science lessons from our technicians, to be able to produce a weekly planning sheet for all classes. I understand how to make a daily report, or a weekly report for one class but not a single report which has each day's requirements included. Any ideas?

Nicola

Hi Nicola,
There is a Resources facility built in to the short term planning which allows you to export resources for all lessons from one date to another. You have to enter the resources for each lesson into this box though since only the resources are exported. Double click on any lesson period and select the tab Resources to enter the resources for a specific lesson.

Hello,
I have been using TPIM for quite some time, and find it an excellent tool for keeping all my teaching records in one place.
However after recently upgrading to version 6, I have either lost the link or forgot how to copy lessons from a different TPIM file?
If I have a similar class how do I copy the lessons over from say 2007-2008 to 2008-2009?
Thanks for your help and creating a great programme.

author:
No problem, open the daily planning and select the class you want to import plans for. Right click on the period for the class and select import from another TPIM database. Then follow the onscreen wizard instructions.

Hi
nice looking upgrade to version 6 - a couple of questions/comments:
1) How do I get the toolbar/timeline to come back? It was visible in the list of running programs last night, but I could only get to it by shrinking the size of the TPIM window - today, it isn't there at all, and I can't find a short cut to it. I also can't find a TPIM logo to click on. Currently running v.6.X - I can't find a link to help/about to find the specific number.

2) In the bottom right hand corner of the daily planner is a button with a 1 on it. clicking this changes it to a 5, and takes me to the lesson by lesson view, but only for the first lesson of the day, regardless of which lesson is actually selected. (Tooltip is: Toggle daily view/working week view) this seems to duplicate the "Maximise selected activity" button.

thanks for your help

Hi Dave,
1) To get the help file click on any part of the application and press F1. In the help file you can find information about all the parts of the toolbar. You have probably minimized it to you tray which means in is in the bottom right of your screen with your other system tray icons like sound and power etc

2) The button you are refering to allows you to view your planning either by Day for every class or by Week for individual classes (one at a time) The weekly view is so that you can view all lessons in a week for a class together and effectively plan a weeks work easier. Type in some planning and see what is shown in the various views for each class.

Love your work. MCQP seems to be changing the order of the answers I entered in MCQE. Is that intentional? Thanks!
P

Author:
Yes, within each category MCQC will pick a different question each time it is run, the more questions you have within each category the more times you can use the same quiz file without having repetative questions. It also changes the order or the answers so that if you do have the same question appear the answer will be in a different posistion so that its not so easy to remember the correct answer.

sorry I explained wrongly. I meant it that way:

Having a 10b class teaching them math + biology. To differentiate them in the dailyPlanner I create instead of 10b the 10bMath + 10bBio class. Having 2 classes now which are actually only one class to which class do I add my pupils now? To the 10bMath or 10bBio? Hope that makes it more clear.

author:
You add the same class lists to both of these classes and treat them as separate classes because they are different subjects.

Hello,

when I teach 2 classes called:

10b and another 10b. In the one class i teach Math in the other I teach Biology. Your dailyPlanner does not handle that problem because I can only assign a class. Is there any workaround? I tested this on the latest 4.x trial.

sample: your planner schould look like this:

period class subject activity homework

1 10b english nothing page 10
2 10b math much page 11
3 12c latein much much

you understand the problem?

Author:
it should not have been possible to even create two classes with the same name! why not just call one 10b_M and the other 10b_B for maths and biology?
