Hi Chris, just started using TPIM in earnest. Is there a facility for long/medium term planning? I love the daily/weekly planners but it would be useful to be able to plan maybe a half terms topics in outline, a bit like a scheme of work.
Thanks

Author:
I'm sorry but there is no facility for long/medium term planning, ours is in Word/Excel format and I simply link this or copy and paste into TPIM weekly/daily plans.

I tried your software but I unable to understand in editor mode where to place the correct answer. Please provide a solution for it.

Author:
You didn't state which product but I'm going to assume you mean the MCQC editor. To select the correct answer just click on either the A,B,C or D buttons next to where you entered the correct answer.

Hi Chris. I mentioned that I love TPIM and I am mentioing it again. Two questions for you. Firstly, is it possible to add a password for the incident reporter as when I am outside for just a minute, a student clicks and reads the incident report with confidential information! If not, please consider this for you next TPIM version. Second thing, is it possible when a new student arrives in class, to add him halfway through the term and only mark his/her precence from the day that they started. One again I love TPIM!

John

Hi John,
I'll give some thought to password protection of the incident reporter.
When a new student arrives, select the class from the Class Lists/Reg/Grades facility and click on the ADD NEW PUPIL option.

Hi, after reading your reply I realised how useful the extra grade sheets could be. It then took me about 10mins to find the buttons on the tool bar, the grade sheet window wasn't wide enough and hadn't shown them!

Author:
Well yes that is something you need to be aware of, my toolbars are static because I haven't found an effective way of making them realize they have been covered by the window size. Unfortunately my products will only ever be as good as my programing skills allow and will never compare to a multi-million team of developers. For further correspondence please just reply to the email I've sent rather than the guestbook. Many thanks.

Hi I like the look of TPIM, but what I'd like is a way to have extra pupil info. We need to have special needs/other for OFSTED and I like to keep KS2, year levels/predictions and future targets all with the register for each pupil - so a way to add other columns in the register section would be brilliant, they needn't be visible all the time, any chance?

author:
I'm sorry but its just not possible to add columns in the register as it is with the grades but other options you might be interested in are the register notes facility within the register, which allows you to add notes for each student for each lesson and the pupil notes facility which calatogues the register notes but also allows you to have your own categories for anything you want to link to each pupil in the class. Personally I use a separate Grade sheet called KS2 to keep all information from middle school about the whole class which can easily be imported/exported to excel.
Hope this helps

This is a great game and I play it all the time but...

My computer doesn't recognise the software so can you assure me there is no virus attached??

Thanks xoxoxoxoxo

Author:
assure you? please see Legal Information on the home page.

What is a great game? If you are worried about viruses download the zip files not the exe files and use an antivirus program to check them out prior to installing them.

If your windows security is set to warn you or you are running the software from a network drive without adding the netowrk share to your trusted zone you will always be prompted about programs that do not have a microsoft digital signature. This is a security feature of your system and it is then up to you to decide if you wish to continue to run the software.

Hi. I like the TPIM! It's great. Any chance to make it and 6 day time table.

Thank you

John

Author:
Hi John,
It is a massive undertaking to change the 5 day week into a 6 or 7 day week. Almost to the extent that I might have to start afresh! At some point in the future I will probably look into the logistics of this. Don't hold your breath though, sorry.

I am an NQT and been using TPIM for a few weeks and its great. Makes my life easy, makes planing easy and i love the grade marksheet.

only thing i could say is to make it allow me to copy and paste from Excel into the TPIM mark sheet. would save me more time lol

thanks for the fantastic softwear !

Author:
You can do this!
Just make a grade sheet, copy and paste from excel into the hghlighted grade sheet column.
You can also use the import functions to import a whole sheet.

I think your work is excellent. I particularly like the validation feature in the Numbers Game (Countdown).
I also love TPIM. Having moved to Egypt, teaching Sunday to Thursday, it raises an interesting conundrum for you (to adapt the timetable somehow)!
Keep up the outstanding work.
I have a register for sale on my website. Take a look.

Really liked the softwares. I am trying to make something on Pair them up and I am unable to as I dod not know how to go about with it. Please help

author:
Open the program and select File then New and Create Blank file for editing
Type in the name of the topic your are creating for the file. This file will be a picture file
of all the tiles. You will be given the option to open the file in MS paint or you can use
your favorite graphics editing software to open the file after it is created.
When you open it you will have two columns of tiles
Each row is a pair.
Simple add pictures and text to the tiles, save it then run it in the program.
Personally I normally expand the canvas of the picture so that I have room to manipulate
drawing objects before placing them within a tile.
Hope this helps

author:
You can now see how I use MS Paint to create quick Pair Them Up files. Screen shot 6 on the Pair Them Up web page shows the steps I take.
